Plasmid

A plasmid is a small, circular, double-stranded DNA molecule that is distinct from a cell's chromosomal DNA. Plasmids naturally exist in bacterial cells and also occur in some eukaryotes. The genes carried in plasmids often provide bacteria with genetic advantages, such as antibiotic resistance, making them indispensable tools in molecular biology and recombinant DNA research.

Nova Lifetech maintains one of the largest commercial plasmid libraries available, with over 81,000 plasmid vectors ready for order. Our catalog includes a wide range of expression vectors, cloning vectors, and specialty constructs for diverse research applications:

Popular vector series include:

  • pET series (pET28a, pET21a, pET32a), bacterial protein expression with His-tag or T7 promoter
  • pCMV series (pCMV-SPORT6, pCMV3), mammalian expression driven by CMV promoter
  • pLenti series, lentiviral delivery for stable gene expression
  • pGL series (pGL4.75), luciferase reporter assays
  • pOTB7, pEnCMV, cloning and overexpression constructs

All plasmids are supplied in lyophilized (powder) form for maximum stability during shipping. Simply centrifuge at 5,000 rpm for 1 minute and reconstitute with 20 μl of ddH₂O before use.

Whether you need to buy a specific named plasmid vector, a custom expression construct, or a hard-to-find clone, our searchable catalog makes it easy to find exactly what your experiment requires. Use the A–Z filter above to search by plasmid name. All plasmids are for research use only.
